Assembly & Setup

  3. Connect Battery: Attach red (+) then black (-) cables to battery terminals.

  5. Add Fluids: Fill engine with recommended oil. Add fresh gasoline to fuel tank.

WARNING! Mower is heavy; use assistance during assembly. Ensure all bolts are tightened securely.

First-Time Operation

Perform pre-operation checks before starting.

  1. Check Oil & Fuel: Ensure proper levels.
  2. Inspect Area: Clear mowing area of debris, rocks, and toys.
  3. Adjust Seat: Position for comfortable reach to all controls.
  4. Set Cutting Height: Use deck lift lever to desired height.
  5. Start Engine: Sit on seat, set parking brake, engage PTO to OFF, turn key to START.
  6. Practice Operation: In a clear area, practice driving, turning, and stopping.

Operation: Set parking brake before starting. Use foot pedals for speed (press forward pedal to go forward, reverse pedal to reverse). Engage PTO lever only when ready to cut. Use deck lift lever to adjust height. Always disengage PTO and set parking brake before dismounting.

Mowing Operation

For best results, mow when grass is dry.

  1. Start Engine: Perform pre-start checks, start engine, allow to warm up.
  2. Engage Blades: At low engine RPM, pull PTO lever to ON position.
  3. Begin Mowing: Release parking brake, gently press forward pedal.
  4. Overlap Passes: Overlap each pass by a few inches for even cutting.
  5. Slopes: Mow up and down slopes, not across, to prevent tipping.
  6. Disposal: Empty grass bag when full or use side discharge as needed.
  7. Shutdown: Disengage PTO, set parking brake, turn key to OFF, remove key.

Tip: Vary mowing pattern each time to prevent grass from leaning.

Maintenance Schedule

Storage & Winterization

  2. Fuel: Add fuel stabilizer to tank, run engine for 5 minutes, then either drain tank or leave stabilized fuel in.
  3. Battery: Disconnect battery cables, clean terminals, store battery in a cool, dry place on a wood surface. Charge periodically.
  4. Engine: Change oil. Remove spark plug, add a teaspoon of oil into cylinder, pull starter cord slowly to coat cylinder walls, reinstall plug.
  5. Store: In a clean, dry place. Cover mower to protect from dust.

CAUTION! Gasoline is flammable. Perform fuel system work in a well-ventilated area away from sparks or flames.
