  1. Attach steering wheel: Align and tighten bolt.
  2. Install seat: Place on mounting bracket, secure with provided bolts.
  3. Connect battery: Positive (red) then negative (black) terminals.
  4. Add engine oil: Use SAE 30 or 10W-30; fill to dipstick "Full" mark.
  5. Add fuel: Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane minimum); no ethanol blends recommended.
  6. Check tire pressure: Inflate to 10-15 PSI as specified on sidewall.

CAUTION! Do not attempt assembly alone; use two people for heavy parts. Ensure all bolts are tightened securely.

Controls & Operation

Starting Procedure:

  1. Set parking brake.
  2. Ensure blade engagement lever is in DISENGAGED position.
  3. Move throttle to FAST position.
  4. Turn ignition key to START; release when engine starts.

Mowing:

  2. Sharpening: Use file or grinder to maintain original cutting angle. Remove equal metal from both ends.
  3. Balancing: Use blade balancer; remove metal from heavy end until balanced.
  4. Installation: Reinstall with blade bolt torqued to 40-50 ft-lbs. Reconnect spark plug wire.

WARNING! Always disconnect spark plug before servicing blades. Wear heavy gloves.

Storage Guidelines

Proper storage prevents damage during off-season.

  1. Clean mower thoroughly, especially underside of deck.
