Safety Information

Read and understand all safety instructions before operating. Always wear appropriate safety gear.

  1. Clear mowing area of debris, rocks, and toys before starting.
  2. Never allow children or pets in the area while mowing.
  3. Do not operate on slopes greater than 15 degrees.
  4. Always engage parking brake before dismounting.
  5. Disengage PTO and blades before crossing driveways or gravel.

WARNING! Never operate without the discharge chute or grass catcher properly installed. Keep hands and feet away from moving parts.

Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assembly requires basic tools.

  1. Install steering wheel: Align and secure with provided hardware.
  2. Attach seat: Bolt seat to frame using included hardware.
  3. Connect battery: Attach cables (red positive, black negative).
  4. Check tire pressure: Inflate to recommended PSI (see Specifications).
  5. Add engine oil and fuel: Use types specified in manual.
  6. Install cutting deck: Lower deck lift, align with pins, and secure.

CAUTION! Ensure all bolts are tightened to proper torque. Verify all safety interlock switches function correctly before first use.

Controls & Operation

Familiarize yourself with all controls before starting the engine.

Dashboard: Ignition key, PTO switch, Throttle/Choke, Cruise control, Headlight switch, Hour meter.

Operation Steps: 1. Sit in seat. 2. Set parking brake. 3. Disengage PTO. 4. Set throttle to fast. 5. Turn key to start. 6. Release parking brake. 7. Engage PTO to lower and spin blades. 8. Use drive pedals to move forward/reverse.

Stopping: 1. Disengage PTO. 2. Return drive pedals to neutral. 3. Set parking brake. 4. Turn key to OFF. 5. Remove key.

  2. Deck Cleaning: Scrape off grass and mud after each use. Hose down periodically (avoid bearings).
  3. Belt Inspection: Check for cracks, fraying, and proper tension. Replace if worn.
  4. Pulley & Spindle Care: Lubricate spindles per manual. Check pulleys for free rotation.
  5. Deck Leveling: Check level on flat surface. Adjust deck hangers to ensure even cut.

WARNING! Blades are extremely sharp. Wear heavy gloves when handling.

Storage & Winterization

Prepare tractor for extended storage, especially over winter.

  1. Clean entire tractor thoroughly, especially the cutting deck.
  2. Change engine oil and filter.
  3. Add fuel stabilizer to tank, run engine for 5 minutes to circulate.
  4. Disconnect battery negative cable; store battery in a cool, dry place on a trickle charger.
  5. Store in a clean, dry location, preferably with the deck lowered.
