Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Ensure battery is charged.

Line Replacement

Use only 0.065" diameter trimmer line.

  2. Press head tabs, remove spool.
  3. Remove old line, clean spool.
  4. Feed new line through eyelets, wind evenly (arrow direction).
  5. Leave 6 inches loose, reassemble spool.
  6. Pull lines to release from holders.

WARNING! Never use metal line or thicker line. Wear gloves to protect hands.

Battery & Charging

20V MAX Lithium-Ion battery (model CMCB201).

  1. Charging: Plug charger into outlet, insert battery. Red LED = charging; Green = fully charged.
  2. Fuel gauge: Press button on battery to see charge level (1-4 LEDs).
  3. Storage: Store battery in cool, dry place. Charge every 6 months if not used.

CAUTION! Do not charge near flammable materials. Use only Craftsman charger.

Care & Storage
