Assembly Instructions

Unpack all parts from box. Assembly requires basic tools (included).

  1. Attach handle: Secure upper and lower handle sections with provided bolts and wing nuts.
  2. Install wheels: Slide wheels onto axles and secure with retainer clips.
  3. Attach bag: Hook bag frame onto rear deck brackets; ensure secure fit.
  4. Install mulch plug (if desired): Place plug into rear discharge opening.
  5. Add oil and gasoline: Fill engine with SAE 30 oil (check dipstick) and unleaded gasoline.

WARNING! Keep hands and feet clear of cutting blade during assembly. Ensure all fasteners are tight before operation.

Controls and Operation

Handle Controls: Drive control bar (must be engaged to start engine), height adjustment lever, primer bulb, recoil starter.

Starting Procedure:

  1. Check oil and fuel levels.
  2. Push primer bulb 3 times (cold engine).
  3. Set throttle to FAST position.
  4. Hold drive control bar against handle.
  5. Pull recoil starter firmly.

Stopping: Release drive control bar; engine will stop. For emergency stop, release bar and move throttle to STOP.

Cutting Height Adjustment

Single-lever adjustment for all four wheels.

  1. Stop engine and wait for blade to stop.
  2. Pull lever outward and move to desired height setting (1-6).
  3. Release lever to lock into position.
  4. Settings range from 1.5 inches (lowest) to 3.75 inches (highest).

Tip: For first mow of season, set to highest setting; gradually lower for subsequent mows.

3-in-1 Deck Functionality

Configure deck for mulching, bagging, or side discharge.

  1. Mulching: Install mulch plug in rear discharge opening. Grass clippings are cut finely and returned to lawn.
  2. Bagging: Attach grass bag to rear brackets. Clippings are collected for disposal.
  3. Side Discharge: Remove mulch plug and bag; attach side discharge chute (optional). Clippings are ejected to side.

WARNING! Always stop engine and disconnect spark plug before changing deck configuration.
