Assembly Instructions

Unpack all parts from the box. Ensure you have the included hardware kit and manual.

  1. Attach the handle: Align lower handle with deck brackets, secure with provided bolts and washers.
  2. Install the upper handle: Connect to lower handle, tighten knobs or bolts.
  3. Attach the grass bag: Hook bag frame onto rear deck brackets; ensure it clicks into place.
  4. Install the discharge chute: For side discharge, attach to deck opening with provided hardware.
  5. Check wheels: Ensure all wheels are securely attached and spin freely.
  6. Add oil and fuel: Refer to engine manual for correct oil type and fill fuel tank with fresh unleaded gasoline.

WARNING! Do not attempt to start the engine before completing assembly and adding oil. Keep hands and feet clear of moving parts during assembly.

Safety Guidelines

Always prioritize safety when operating any power equipment.

  1. Read manual thoroughly before use.
  2. Clear mowing area of stones, toys, and debris.
  3. Wear sturdy shoes, long pants, and eye protection.
  4. Do not mow wet grass.
  5. Never allow children to operate the mower.
  6. Disconnect spark plug wire before performing any maintenance.
  7. Use extreme caution when mowing on slopes; mow across the slope, not up and down.
  8. Never remove safety devices or guards.

CAUTION! Gasoline is flammable. Refuel outdoors in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool.

Controls and Operation

Handle Controls: Drive Control Bar (squeeze to engage drive), Height Adjustment Lever, Bag Indicator.

Starting Procedure:

  1. Check oil and fuel levels.
  2. Prime the engine (if equipped) by pressing primer bulb 3 times.
  3. Set throttle control to FAST position.
  4. Pull recoil starter handle briskly.

Stopping: Release drive control bar, move throttle to STOP, and wait for all parts to stop moving.

Engaging Drive: Squeeze drive control bar against handle to propel mower forward. Release to stop drive.

Cutting & Height Adjustment

Select your desired cutting mode: Mulching, Bagging, or Side Discharge. Install the appropriate chute or plug.

  1. To adjust cutting height: Move the single lever to one of the 6 numbered positions. Lower numbers = lower cut.
  2. For best results, do not cut more than 1/3 of the grass blade length at one time.
  3. Overlap each pass by a few inches for an even cut.
  4. Empty bag frequently to maintain proper airflow and cutting performance.

Tip: Sharpen the blade at least once per season for a clean cut.

Engine Care

For the Briggs & Stratton 140cc engine:

  1. Oil: Use SAE 30 detergent oil. Check dipstick; fill to "FULL" mark. Do not overfill.
  2. Air Filter: Clean foam pre-cleaner every 25 hours. Replace paper filter annually.
  3. Fuel: Use fresh, unleaded gasoline. Add fuel stabilizer for storage over 30 days.
  4. Spark Plug: Gap: 0.030". Clean and check annually; replace if worn.
  5. Carburetor: May have adjustable idle speed screw; refer to engine manual.

WARNING! Always disconnect the spark plug wire before performing any engine maintenance.

Storage Instructions

Proper storage prevents fuel system issues and corrosion.

  1. Run engine to burn fuel out of carburetor OR add fuel stabilizer to a full tank and run for 5 minutes.
  2. Change the engine oil at the end of the season.
  3. Clean the mower thoroughly, especially under the deck.
  4. Remove the spark plug, add a teaspoon of oil into the cylinder, and pull the starter cord slowly to coat the cylinder wall. Reinstall plug.
  5. Store in a clean, dry place, preferably covered.

CAUTION! Never store the mower with gasoline in the tank indoors or in an enclosed area without proper ventilation.

Craftsman M110 Lawn Mower is covered by a 2-Year Limited Warranty from date of purchase. This warranty covers defects in material or workmanship. It does not cover normal wear, misuse, lack of maintenance, or commercial use. Proof of purchase is required.
