Safety Information

  1. Clear mowing area of debris, toys, and obstacles.
  2. Never allow children or pets near the mower during operation.
  3. Do not operate on slopes greater than 15 degrees.
  4. Always engage parking brake when dismounting.

WARNING! Rotating blades can cause severe injury. Keep hands and feet away from deck during operation. Never operate without discharge chute or grass bag properly installed.

Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assembly requires basic tools.

  1. Attach steering wheel: Align and tighten bolt.
  2. Install seat: Mount with provided bolts and washers.
  3. Connect battery: Attach red (+) then black (-) terminals.
  4. Check tire pressure: Inflate to 12 PSI (front) and 10 PSI (rear).
  5. Add engine oil: Use SAE 30 (approx. 1.5 quarts).
  6. Add fuel: Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane or higher).

CAUTION! Ensure all bolts are tightened to specified torque. Check for loose parts before first use.

Operation Steps:

  1. Park on level surface, set parking brake.
  2. Adjust cutting height lever to desired position.
  3. Move throttle to FAST position, engage choke if cold.
  4. Turn ignition key to START; release when engine starts.
  5. Disengage parking brake, slowly press forward pedal to move.
  6. To mow, engage PTO switch once engine is at full throttle.
  7. To stop, disengage PTO, return speed pedal to neutral, engage parking brake, turn key to OFF.

Tip: Always allow engine to warm up for 1-2 minutes before engaging blades.

Cutting Deck Adjustment

Proper deck leveling ensures even cut.

  1. Park on level surface, set parking brake, disengage PTO.
  2. Measure cutting height at all four corners of deck.
  3. Adjust front height: Turn adjustment knob on each side.
  4. Adjust rear height: Loosen locknut on each rear hanger, turn bolt to level.
  5. Re-measure after adjustments; repeat until level.

WARNING! Always disconnect spark plug before working under deck. Never adjust deck with engine running.

Storage & Winterization

Prepare mower for extended storage (especially winter).

  1. Clean entire mower, especially under deck.
  2. Change engine oil and filter.
  3. Add fuel stabilizer to tank, run engine for 5 minutes.
  4. Disconnect battery, store in cool dry place (charge monthly).
  5. Store in dry, covered area, preferably on blocks to relieve tire pressure.

CAUTION! Do not store with fuel in carburetor without stabilizer. Gasoline can degrade and damage fuel system.
