Assembly Instructions

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and efficient mowing.

  1. Pre-Start Check: Check oil level, fuel, tire pressure, and clear deck of debris.
  2. Starting: Sit in seat, set parking brake, disengage blades, turn key to start.
  3. Mowing: Engage blades at full throttle. Overlap passes by 2-3 inches for even cut.
  4. Slopes: Mow up and down, not across. Do not mow wet grass.
  5. Stopping: Disengage blades, engage parking brake, turn key off, remove key.

Tip: Allow engine to cool for 5 minutes before refueling.

Blade Care & Sharpening

  4. Sharpen blade at original angle (file or bench grinder).
  5. Balance blade (use blade balancer or nail).
  6. Reinstall blade with bolt torqued to 45-50 ft-lbs.

CAUTION! Always wear heavy gloves when handling blades. Replace if cracked or badly worn.

Engine Maintenance

Storage & Winterization

Proper storage prevents fuel system damage and corrosion.

  1. Run engine to warm oil, then drain and refill with fresh oil.
  2. Add fuel stabilizer to tank, run engine 5 minutes to circulate.
  3. Disconnect battery, clean terminals, store in cool dry place.
  4. Remove blades, sharpen, and coat with light oil.
  5. Clean entire mower, lubricate all pivot points.
  6. Store in dry location, cover with breathable tarp.

WARNING! Never store mower with fuel in tank over 30 days without stabilizer.
