  5. Add fuel: Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane minimum).
  6. Connect battery (electric start models): Attach red (+) then black (-) terminals.

Engine Care

Proper engine maintenance is critical for performance.

  1. Oil Change: Run engine 5 minutes to warm oil. Remove drain plug, drain into pan. Refill with SAE 30 (20 oz).
  2. Air Filter: Remove cover, clean foam filter in soapy water (if reusable) or replace.
