Safety Information

Read all instructions before operating. Always wear appropriate safety gear.

  1. Clear mowing area of debris, rocks, and toys before operation.
  2. Never allow children or pets near the tractor while it is running.
  3. Do not operate on slopes greater than 15 degrees.
  4. Disengage PTO and set parking brake before dismounting.

WARNING! Rotating blades can cause severe injury. Keep hands and feet away from mower deck at all times. Engine components become extremely hot during operation.

Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assembly requires basic tools.

  1. Install steering wheel: Align splines and secure with provided nut.
  2. Attach seat: Mount seat on slide rails and secure with bolts.
  3. Install battery: Connect red (+) cable first, then black (-) cable.
  4. Add engine oil: Use SAE 10W-30, fill to mark on dipstick.
  5. Add fuel: Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane minimum).
  6. Check tire pressure: Front: 14 PSI, Rear: 10 PSI.

CAUTION! Tractor is heavy; use assistance during assembly. Ensure all bolts are tightened to specified torque.

Controls and Operation

Operator station: Ignition key, Throttle/Choke, Hydrostatic drive pedal, Brake pedal, PTO switch, Deck lift lever, Parking brake lever, Hour meter.

Starting Procedure: 1. Sit on seat. 2. Set parking brake. 3. Disengage PTO. 4. Move throttle to "Fast" position. 5. Turn key to START. 6. Release key when engine starts.

Driving: Release parking brake. Press forward on drive pedal to move forward, reverse to move backward. Speed is controlled by pedal pressure.

Mowing: Engage PTO switch to activate mower deck. Adjust cutting height with deck lift lever.

Mower Deck Operation

The 54-inch fabricated deck provides superior cutting performance.

  1. Height Adjustment: Use deck lift lever to select cutting height (1.5" to 4.5").
  2. Leveling Deck: Park on level surface. Measure blade tips to ground; adjust deck hangers to level.
  3. Blade Engagement: Ensure PTO is disengaged before starting engine. Engage PTO switch only at full throttle.
  4. Blade Sharpening: Remove deck. Sharpen blades at 30-degree angle. Balance before reinstalling.
  5. Belt Inspection: Check deck drive belt for wear/cracks every 25 hours. Replace if damaged.

WARNING! Always disconnect spark plug wire before working under deck. Never engage PTO on gravel or paved surfaces.
