Safety Precautions

Read all instructions before operation. Always wear appropriate safety gear.

  1. Clear mowing area of debris, rocks, and toys before starting.
  2. Never allow children or pets near the mower during operation.
  3. Do not mow on slopes greater than 15 degrees; mow across slopes, not up and down.
  4. Disengage blades before starting the engine or crossing driveways/gravel.
  5. Keep hands and feet away from moving parts and the discharge chute.

WARNING! Gasoline is flammable; refuel outdoors with engine off and cool. Avoid carbon monoxide poisoning – never operate in enclosed spaces.

Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assembly requires basic tools (included).

  1. Install steering wheel: Align and tighten bolt.
  2. Attach seat: Mount using provided bolts and washers.
  3. Connect battery: Positive (red) then negative (black) terminals.
  4. Add engine oil: Use SAE 10W-30, fill to dipstick mark.
  5. Add gasoline: Use fresh unleaded (87 octane minimum).
  6. Check tire pressure: Inflate to 14 PSI (front) and 10 PSI (rear).

CAUTION! Ensure all bolts are tightened securely. Test controls before first use.

Dashboard: Ignition key, PTO switch, throttle, choke, headlight switch. Floor: Brake pedal, drive pedal (forward/reverse), parking brake lever.

Starting Procedure:

  1. Set parking brake; ensure PTO is disengaged.
  2. Move throttle to "FAST" position; pull choke if cold.
  3. Turn key to "START"; release when engine starts.
  4. Allow engine to warm up, then push choke in.

Driving: Release parking brake. Press drive pedal forward to go forward, backward for reverse. Speed increases with pedal pressure. Use brake pedal to slow or stop.

Cutting Deck Operation

Engage blades only when engine is at full throttle.

  1. Adjust cutting height: Use lever beside seat; test on flat surface.
  2. Engage PTO: Push switch to "ON" position; listen for deck engagement.
  3. Mow in overlapping passes for even cut.
  4. Disengage PTO when crossing non-grass areas or stopping.
  5. Clean deck after each use to prevent grass buildup.

Tip: Sharpen blades every 25 hours for optimal cutting performance.
