First-Time Operation

Operating Procedures

  3. Operation: Walk at steady pace, overlapping passes slightly.
  4. Turning: Lift front of unit slightly to turn around obstacles.
  5. Slopes: Operate across slopes, not up and down.
  6. Stopping: Release throttle, engage stop switch, wait for all parts to stop.

Tip: Cut when grass/weeds are dry for best results. Avoid cutting near fences, trees, or buildings where debris may be thrown.

Line Replacement

Replace line when worn or broken.

  1. Stop engine and allow to cool.
  2. Remove spool cover by pressing tabs and lifting off.
  3. Remove old line from spool.
  4. Cut two 15-foot lengths of .095 inch trimmer line.
  5. Insert ends into spool anchor holes, wind line onto spool in direction of arrows.
  6. Thread line ends through eyelets, reassemble spool cover.
  7. Pull lines to release from spool locks.

WARNING! Use only specified line diameter. Do not use metal line or wire.
